File and PDF Manger

One of the biggest components of a paperless workflow is having a central place to store and organize your files and documents! On OS X you have Finder and on Windows you have File Explorer. But iOS lacks a true file manger (iCloud Drive and Document Picker are getting closer though). So, for now you have to rely on cloud storage and third party apps to mange and sync all of your files. Fortunately there are some very good options out there!

The second component is a PDF manager. For better or worse, the PDF format is nearly omnipresent… So having a good manager or editor is key! The good news with PDF’s is that they are super easy to annotate and mark up, which makes them great for note taking and general reference.

Here are some of my favorite apps and a overview of the top cloud storage providers! Most document mangers also tend to have PDF editing or annotation abilities.
